Short version: we collect what we need to bill you and mail your art, we don't sell your information, and we never show your home address to anyone but the postal service.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, billing and shipping address, and what you bought.
- Payment details: entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, and gift messages you write.
- Basic technical data: our host may log IP addresses and browser details for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To charge you, send receipts and confirmations, and run your subscription.
- To print address labels and mail your art.
- To answer questions, fix problems and meet tax and accounting obligations.
Who handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for its job:
- Stripe: payments, subscriptions, sales tax calculation, and the customer portal.
- Vercel: hosting this website.
- Resend: sending our transactional emails.
- The postal services, which deliver your mailer.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep order and billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally about four years). Delete requests are honored where the law allows.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you're a California resident, you have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Email hello@crumpetpost.com. You can also update your address and card yourself in the subscription portal.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above.
